Performing Handel’s Messiah at St. Georges Cathedral Kingston, November 27, 2019

Sing with us

Are you a girl or a boy aged twelve and up in search of a grand musical adventure?

You are welcome to observe, or sit in a rehearsal, following which there would be a brief interview to check your basic musical skills (the keenness of your ear, your ability to sing in tune, and your aptitude for music reading). No prior choir experience is necessary in most cases. You must also be able to commit to regular attendance at rehearsals (and concerts).

If you’re an adult, you must have excellent reading skills, and possess a significant amount of choral experience. You must be available for all rehearsals on a concert-to-concert basis.

Our rehearsals

Our home base is St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church at 82 Kent Street in the heart of downtown.

What it costs

Primarily, we ask for your time, talent and enthusiastic love of music. There will be a nominal membership fee, to cover materials, snacks, rental of our rehearsal venue, and administration.

The importance of parents and volunteers

CAELIS exists in lively partnership with parents. We welcome the help, encouragement, support, and hands-on participation of parents. Caelis is committed to safeguarding vulnerable persons, and to a community that fosters mutual respect and friendship.
